And your lofty peaks and hilltops. That seem so grand to me. Astoria, my Astoria, O, city, great and grand! I never can forget thee, Though I wander through foreign lands, With your great and mighty Cockscomb. Splendid work of the Master ' s hand, With its many trails and by-paths Through which as a child I ran. Astoria, my Astoria, O, home, my home sweet home ! Thou shalt always be a home sweet home to me No matter where I roam. And when life ' s battle is nearly ended, And there is nothing more to atone.
