unior Class History The year 1955, brought fifty-two of the greenest freshies ever, into the doors of A.H.S We were led blindly through the year by an organization of President, Pat McCombsg Vice- D President, Judy Shawg Secretary, Dixie Roosag Treasurer, Lois Snowden. Class advisors were Mrs. Reeves and Mr. Morrison. Our Student Council representatives were: Bernice Bucher, Margaret Kessler, David Bowman, and Ramon Royer. Having survived the initiation most of us attended and enjoyed the party given to us by the Sophomores. Several of our boys were represented in sports. Two of our girls were cheerleaders. There were many in band and chorus. Before the year ended, we discovered we had lost some of our fellow classmates. Those missing were: Sharon Moses, Hershel Belville, Jerry Palmer and Katie Lutz. We did, however, gain Hazel Crumley to our group. Then came our Sophomore year and we were gladly kind enough to initiate the new, green freshman. Our officers that year were: President, David Bowmang Vice-President, Lois Snowdeng Secretary, Hazel Crumleyg Treasurer, Margaret Kessler. Our sponsors were Mrs. Reeves and Mr. Penman. Our Student Council representatives were: Patricia Blickenstaff, Judy Shaw, jim Onion, Larry McKinley. Again we were well represented in all the school activities. Several boys in sports and two girls as cheerleaders. About half of us were in band. We were sorry to lose three classmatesg Joe Clarke, Betty Fields, and Anna Mae Welker. It is the year 1957, and we now find a lively group of juniors entering the A.H. S. This promises to be our busiest and happiest year yet. Our class officers are: President, David Bowmang Vice-President, Patricia Blickenstaffg Secretary, Lois Snowdeng Treasurer, Edith Danner. Our sponsors are Mrs. Moon and Mr. Hopwood. Student Council representatives are: Hazel Crumley, Richard Werner, Paul Schoaff. We're still in the thick of things. Our boys in all the sports, two cheerleaders, and a group in band. We again lost some class- mates: Gary Baker, Sharon Booth, and Sondra Brehm. Amid faintings and nervous break- downs, our play, Six Stitches for Ego was put on. We proceeded to fly into the face of fate, and have our jlmior-Senior Prom out of town, this year. It was held at Lamoine Hotel in Ma- comb. We are sad whenever we think of the coming year and graduation time. But, we are looking forward to our last and most care free days at A.H.S. - our senior year.
