Bob Mech, Ed Zarichny, Art Joe Pintur Badminton Commissioner ainct Fencing The classic art of Fencing was introduced to Assumption en- thusiasts this year hy Ed Nlulawka. The sport was very well received and instruction hy experienced hands 'immediately set in. Practices were held regularly for lvoth men and women with much success. With continued interest. definite plans for meeting with Detroit followers will lie carried out. Participants are: Chuck Re-stino. Dean Morrison. Bill Howarth. Paul Dun- seath. ,lohn Lindsey. Jack Li. Paul Thomson and Ted Warrow. Delorenzi, Tom Shaniker. Taking advantage of the expanded intramural facilities and activities the many talented badminton players assembled and formed an intramural tournament and a resulting inter- collegiate team. The tournament showed more-than-enough ability was present and the resulting trip to Kingstorfs Queens University also proved a success. o .odly Builders Answering the cries of many a soul on campus a body- building and weigh-lifting club was initiated this year under the guidance of Phil Lelllay and assistance of Karl Ilk. The facilities were appreciated by all and as a result many on campus now enjoy the activities provided. The highlight of the year was the presentation of Mr. lllichigan Luke Adams for a demonstration of skill. Judo Glu Assumption University this year. for the first time in its history organized a Judo Club on campus. The Clllb CON' sisted of 20 members and under the able guidance of '5Min7' Oyama of the Detroit Judo Club and Dr. C. Fay of the Philosophy Department proved impressive in every exhibition.
