It’s all about this girl at a ski school who meets this doll from Switzerland or someplace who’s the captain of the ski patrol. She likes him and everything, but he’s engaged to ... What d’ ya want t’ go to college for, huh? I mean it’s just a waste of time. I know a guy who went to college, and y’ know what he is? A lousy sixty- bucks a week . . . Fifty thousand Czech gymnasium students, carrying banners, listening to speeches, cheering leaders at a May Day celebration. Afterwards, an athletic spectacle at the stadium. The popular slogans hang on the stadium roof, high above the young gymnasts straining for perfection: MARXISM WILL CONQUER! ... YOU ARE THE FUTURE! . . . LENINISM FOR THE WORLD! . . .
