RONALD CARR During the school year of 1952-53 Assumption College lost one of its beloved students, Ronald Carr. Ronnie was a very conscientious worker and was never lacking in that spirit of co-operation which is so necessary among the students in a school. For these qualities he has certainly won the esteem of both the staff and his fellow students. Ronnie was devoted to his mother—and with this, I would describe his home life. Many hours spent with Ronnie and his mother left me with indelible memories of this boy’s love for his mother. I started school at Assumption with Ronnie in 1949 and remained in the same class with him until his death in 1952. In our associations I always found him to be a very self-sacrificing, clean living boy,—a boy with all the characteristics of a good Catholic youth. I have never thought of Ronnie’s death as a tragedy. True, he is with us no longer, but that is not a tragedy for Ronnie—for I know that his Creator has called him to his eternal reward. Bill Fox.
