SHEEHAN Mathematics GRADUATES CLASS OF ’46 PRESIDENT VICE-PRESIDENT WENDELL SYDNEY MERICK Bud, as he is called by his frie nds, was born in Chicago, Ill., April 25, 1927. Besides being Vice-President of his class, Bud was also Editor of the Reporter, member of the Day-Scholar Student Council. He plans to attend college next year with a career in journalism being his ambition CHARLES ALOYSIUS JOHNSON Chuck, as he was called by his friends, climaxed his last year by being elected President of the grad class. He was active on the Boarder Student Council, and played Sr. football in his last two years. SECRET AR Y- TREASURER JEROME HERB FROST Jerry was very active in his senior year. He won letters in football and basketball, was President of the Boarder Student Council and climaxed his year by being elected Secretary- Treasurer of the Graduating class. He was also noted for his scholastic abilities. WILSON GORDON ABNEY Wilson is a very quiet and likeable lad. During hia senior year he was a boarder, and he has taken part in many school activities. THOMAS EDWIN ACKERMAN Tom has been very active in all sports since he came to Assumption. He is an excellent boxer, and has played football and basketball also. MARVIN ERROL ALLEN Marvin is a very adept musician, being able to play the sax and clarinet with equal ability. His pride and joy is his chien. During his four years here he was an active socialite. ANTHONY HARRY BABY Tony has been a member of the senior band for three years. He is a good handball player, as well as being adept in basketball. TINO JIOOCCHINO BAGGIO Gino is noted at Assumption for his foot¬ ball achievements. He made the All-City Team in ' 45. His hobby is tilework, and he aspires to play with the Windsor Rockets of the O.R.F.U. FLOYD ALEXANDER BAILLARGEON Floyd was born July 2nd, 1929, in the grand and peaceful village of Riverside. His hobby is art at which he is very proficient, and he has participated in all sports. EUGENE JEROME BANNON Red starred in bas¬ ketball and handball around Assumption He had difficulty in getting hia homework done because he led an active social life. ARTHUR LAMBERT BERGERON “Timer , as his friends call him, comes from the big town of LaSalle. He likes to talk about his life in the social world. He has attended Assump¬ tion for four years. BERNARD HENRY BERTHIAUME Bernie has long beeu one of Assumption ' s best athletes. He has starred in Sr. football and hockey, making the All-City grid team in ' 45 He has two letters in hockey and three in footbalL LAWRENCE JOSEPH BEZAIRE Larry has been a boarder four years. He is an NCO in the Air Cadets, and has played minim basketball and football. He has many friends. PAUL JOSEPH BOISVERT Paul was active on the Reporter for four years and became News Editor in 1946. He also was active in the missions and stu¬ dent council of which he became the pres¬ ident. He was a humor¬ ist, speaker, author, dramatist and poet. JOHN PATRICK BOYDE Jack is the youngest member of the graduat¬ ing class. He was assist¬ ant editor of the Repor¬ ter in his senior year Jack has ambitions to¬ wards the priesthood. He has played lor both the A.C. and Matti Holli bands. Gerry is a good student, an active so¬ cialite, and he plays basketball for recrea¬ tion. WILLIAM LOUIS CALABRESE Bill is an A stu¬ dent, and he was mana¬ ger of the senior ioot- ball team in 1946. His ambition is to be a civil engineer. Bill is well liked by all. FRANCIS VINCENT CLIFF Frank has been a boarder here during his senior year. He leads the usual social life of a fourth year student, but still finds time to study. CLAUDE JOSEPH CLOUTHIER Bud was leader of the high school orches¬ tra in ' 46. He was a member of the A.C. band, a participant in handball and basket¬ ball, and he aspires to be a musician. Bud also was nominated for Pres, of the graduating class of ’46 DONALD JOSEPH COUSINEAU Don has been an “A student through his four years of high He was a member of the day-scholar student council. Don is also a good athlete, taking part in all sports. He was especially profi¬ cient in basketball and ping-pong. GEORGE BADER CRONIN George is one of the graduating class ' best known and best liked fellows. He plays contract bridge expert¬ ly as well as participa¬ ting in social activities, basketball and football. I EDWIN BERTRAM CURRY Edwin was bom April 6th, 1929, in the large and prosperous town of Shaker Heights, Ohio. His hobby is his ever faithful ' Chev, and he aspires to be¬ come a good auto mechanic MAURICE AUGUSTIN DANIEL Maurice is of the studious school and hails from the Chatham district. He played minim football and was a member of the Re¬ porter. PERCY THOMAS DEMERS Percy came to Assump¬ tion from Sacred Heart College, Sudbury. He was active in sports, especially baseball and he intends to beg.n a career in medicine JOHN PAUL DUFOUR When John appeared in Physics class, Fr Armstrong would con¬ gratulate him for put¬ ting in an appearance In spite of his absences he still managed to be in the upper half of the class JOSEPH MICHAEL DUNN Joe was very well known around Assump¬ tion. liked by all, and has a fine voice. He climaxed his senior year by winning a letter in football and being a member of the Barber Shop Quartet. Joe was also active in the Missions. JOHN BERNARD DUROCHER John was bom in quiet Sandwich West and attended Notre Dame S. S. be ore coming to Assumption. He was well liked and intends to pursue a career in medicine upon his graduation. i RICHARD JOHN EANSOR Dick was a social lion but nevertheless found time for his stud es. He was always smiling and for this was very popu¬ lar both abroad and here at Assumption EVARISTE ANTHONY FAUCHER For some reason Eva¬ riste could never get his homework done. Some of the teachers wondered if he led a too active night life, but in the end he succeeded and grad¬ uated. FRANCIS XAVIER FINN Frank was one of the quietest graduates, but spoke up at the end and came to life to graduate from the halls o 1 Assumption He took part in handball and basketball as well as ping-pong. ALFRED PARK GOSSELIN Al was very active in his four years at Assumption H« was maniger of the 45 sr. football squad, Sports Editor Ur the ' 45 and ' 46 Reporter, and Sports Editor of this year book. Al was an A student, and he played jr. and minim basketball, sr. baseball, handball and tub-min¬ im football. JOSEPH VINCENT HALFORD loe was always a “regular guy at Assumption. He had many friends and was noted tor his happy personality. He played baseball and basketball for sport ANDREW JOSEPH HARCAR Andy was one of the best ends in football ever to come to Assumption Two years in succession he miss¬ ed the All-City first team by the slimest of margins He also play¬ ed sr. baseball and Jr. basketball JOHN WALTON HARRIS John was prominent in the Air Cadets, becoming W02 in his senior year. He was an active member of the social circle, but still found time to be a good student. His ambition is to become a chemical engineer. ROBERT LEO HEARSCH Bob was one of the most studious boarders around Assumption in ’46. He was active as the librarian, and was a “A student, espec¬ ially in English. ROBERT FRANCIS HILL Bob became an NCO in the Air Cadets in his senior year He was a good student, and played jr. basket¬ ball and sub-minim football for recreation. RICHARD MARK JACOB Dick preferred to study a lot while in school, and he held a good average through¬ out his four years. He liked to watch games rather than participate in them. Dick was full of surprises and had many friends. BERNARD JOSEPH JOHNSON Bernie just couldn ' t seem to do much home¬ work because of his social life, but some¬ how he did alright in school. He was noted for his basketball prow¬ ess, starring from first year on in sub-minim and then jr. basketball. JOHN EUGENE KEILS Jack was an A student at Assumption, and he played sr football in ' 45 and 46 Jack received mention on the All-City grid team of 1946 He also took part in basketball. His hobby is drawing and he aspires to be a civil engineer. Throughout his schol¬ astic year he was wall liked. ©specially for his thoughts of Sandwich. Ray was also a member of the Air Cadets. Larry was a goxl student, especially in French. A very friendly and likable fellow, he was always joking in class and livened up school 1 fe a lot. Larry liked sports, especially football and baseball Ray was the scholar of 4B. He was an A student all the time he was at Assumption. He also was active in bas¬ ketball and softball. Ray plans to enter medicine upon his graduation. Ed was the quiet member of the grad¬ uating class, but when he did speak words of wisdom poured forth. He had a happy personality and many friends. Neil was at Assump¬ tion but three years when he was called to graduation. He came here in second year. A quiet and social chap, he was liked by all who knew him. hro was known for his athletic ability. For two consecutive sea¬ sons he held down left end on the senior foot¬ ball team. He also played baseball and had a good scholastic standing. JAMES FRANCIS McDonald James was a member of the Reporter and showed some promise in athletics. He was also active in his school work and graduated after four years at Assumption. CHARLES BURNS McIntosh Chuck, the man from Riverside, was noted for his good humour whenever Riverside was mentioned. Al¬ though a staunch sup¬ porter of the village he did give it a few ' ’digs. HAROLD LEO McKenzie Harold has been a boarder for four years and had miny friends. His scholastic standing was very good and he showed promise in Chemistry. JUSTIN MICHAEL McNAMARA Justin has been a boarder and is one of the few who likes that life. He was well liked by everyone and show¬ ed streaks of wit. KENNETH AUGUST MACHOLL Ken was noted for scholastic ability and was the fnend of all. He was interested in sports but more so in the library and books. FRANCIS JOSEP H MARENTETTE Frank was the pride and joy of Sandwich. Another bright spot in the grad class, he was sociable and well liked by all. PAUL EUGENE MARENTETTE Paul hail from Sand¬ wich Weit and la known for hia quaint sense of humour. He also was the bearer of a good scholastic aver¬ age RICHARD BENEDICT MOORE Dick was a boarder at Assumption during his four years of high school. He starred as an end in sub-minim football, and played basketball also. JOSEPH PETER MAROON loe was always kid¬ ded about his Syrian descent. He was an accomplished handball player and also played football and basketball. ANTHONY JOSEPH MORAND Tony was a good student all through school and procured high marks in math subjects especially. He went to all social doings and had many friends CHARLES FREDERICK MASON Charles was a mem ber of the High School Orchestra in his senior year. He displayed much musical ability and also was a good student. DENIS GERARD MORAND Denis is another of the famous Morands of Tecumseh A real French student, he al¬ ways received high marks in this subject. He prefers handball for sport. GORDON GLENN MAXWELL Gord was the ' ’poet ' of 4A. He was an amiable fellow and was noted for his queer sense of humour He liked to play basketball for recreation. PHILIP JOSEPH MOROUN Phil has attended Assumption four years He is a good handball player and he attends social gatherings regu¬ larly. He likes to talk about his car. LEON STEPHAN MAZIAK Marne. as he was known, came to Assumption from the big and little town of Tilbury. While here he was a member of the Reporter and also Ast. Editor of this year book. His hobby is Chemistry and he in¬ tends to major in Research Chemistry. JAMES EVERTS MOSACK A boarder, James was always interested in what was going on around the school. He was a quiet fellow, but one that could be relied on as a real friend. DONALD JOSEPH MOLL Don was noted for his athletic abilities. He was a member of the Boxing team, played Jr. basketball and also football. Don found ample time to be an ' ‘A student. RICHARD LARUE O ' CONNOR Dick was very active In all doings around Assumption. He played Sr football and basket¬ ball, was active in social events, and was a member of the board¬ er student council Dick was also Sec ' y- Treas of the Mission Society in his senior year. His humour kept the class alive. Steve has real ability in golf and can also play basketball. RICHARD PETER PARENT Dick was a laughing, jovial fellow at all times. He liked to play the various sports and he also studied a great deal. He was well liked by everyone. MILFORD BERNARD OLSEN Milford was a board¬ er during his four years of high at Assumption. He was an A student, especially in mathe¬ matical subjects, and a member of the Saint John JBosco Club. JAMES MICHAEL PERRY Jim was a studious fellow in all his sub¬ jects. He was a boarder, a member of the Air Cadets, and manager of the track team in his senior year. JOHN PETER OSUCH Johnny didn ' t find much time to do home¬ work because of his active social life, but somehow he got by in his studies. He liked to play handball in his spare time. TIMOTHY ALVIN PICKETT Tim played senior football and was a member of the track team in his last year. He was a boarder during his four years of high. Tim was a quiet fellow, but always came up with an an¬ swer when asked a question. PAUL DENIS OUELLETTE Paul was born Sept¬ ember 1st, 1928. Paul was a member of the Air Cadets, and played hockey for recreation. His ambition is to be a missionary priest. HAROLD VICTOR PILON Harold was one of the best liked fellows in the graduating class. He was always a real fnend to everyone, and his classmates proved this by nominating him for senior A man in his fourth year. He also was a good student. FRANCIS JOSEPH PARE Frank has been an A student all through high school. He was a member of the band and the Air Cadets. His ambition is to be a priest. Frank was also a baton twirler when he joined the band. MICHAEL PETER QUINN Mike was always ask¬ ing questions in class. He was an active so¬ cialite and took most of his spare time to attend dances and parties. He likes to play handball. WILLIAM MARTIN PARE Bill was born April 1st, 1929, in Windsor. He attendee St. Gene¬ vieve Separate school before coming to Assumption. Bill play¬ ed baseball and Sr. hockey. His ambition is to be an electrical engineer. JAMES DONALD REAUME Jim was known for his quiet sense of humour. Hs was well liked by all who knew him and was one of the leading socialites. HAROLD LEONARD REINHART Harold has attended Assumption tour year and haj been a boarder throughout that time. He paid attention to his studies and didn ' t part¬ icipate in many sports. DONALD DELPHIS SEGUIN Don was born April 9. 1928. in Windsor. He attended St. Gene¬ vieve before coming to Assumption. He is an excellent handball player, and plays base¬ ball also. He desires a career in business JOHN LOUIS RENAUD Louis, as he is called by his friends, was born Dec. 8th, 1928 in Tecumseh. He likes to play baseball, is an A student, and was a member of the Air Cadets. His am¬ bition is undecided PHILIP ERNEST SEGUIN Red was very popu¬ lar among his class¬ mates all through school. He played hockey and baseball, and was active socially. TEX VOSS RICKARD Tex was a very pop¬ ular member of the Reporter staff in his senior year. His Boar¬ der Talk column was one of the best written. Tex has a pleasant and colourful personality, and his willingness to work hard brought him many friends. DANIEL VICTOR SEXTON Dan was a very active socialite. He was always at some dance with the rest of the fellows and he was well liked because of his happy personality. ELMER ALFRED ROBITAILLE Al, as everyone calls Elmer, is known for his basketball ability. Elmer played senior basketball two years and lunior one year. He was elected to the ' 46 All-City court team on the basis of his fine all around play and exceptional scoring ability. DOUGLAS IAMES SOOLEY Doug was another of the fellows that livened up the graduating class. He was a’ways wearing a smile. Doug liked to play baseball in his spare time. PAUL JOSEPH SCHILLER Paul was not a stu¬ dious lad during his four years at Assump¬ tion, but he managed to get his work done. He is a good baseball player. LOUIS ANTHONY STEPHENSON Louis was active on the Reporter staff for two years winning a letter in his senior year. He played sub¬ minim football and bosketbal, and was nominated for Sec ' y- Trea of the graduat¬ ing class. HERBERT JOHN SCHULTZ Herb has been a boarder here for four years. He has played sub-minim football and has taken part in box¬ ing, at which he prov¬ ed himself very adept by winning a letter in his senior year. JOHN FRANCIS SULLIVAN John was a boarder, and his hobby was taking care of the physics lab He was an all-around student, and took his school work and eocia activities seriously. He preferred to watch sports rather than participate to any great extent. He is a member of the St. Luke Society, and an A student. He plays handball and his am bition is to be a doctor of medicine. ROBERT LOUIS WINK Bob was one of the four Assumption boys that were members of the famous A.C. Bar¬ ber Shop quartet. He is known for his prow¬ ess in football as well as his scholastic ability. JOHN EDWARD WORRELL Johnny was a mem¬ ber of the social group around Assumption. He has attended Assumption for four years, and has been a good s ' .udent through¬ out that time EDWIN DARWIN WRIGHT Edwin was a popu¬ lar member of the graduating class main¬ ly because he was one of the regular fellows. Hii confidence and happiness radiated to all with whom he came in contact. RICHARD WILLIAM ZEISIG STEPHEN JOSEPH ZOLD Dick has been a boarder at Assumption for four years. He kept trying to make good marks in all his sub¬ jects, and he succeed¬ ed in graduating in his fourth year.
