 TGIF''!I! One week of school wos behind us ond we were reody for the first All-School donee. Eclipse'' ployed ond the cofe wos jammed. The bond ployed great music. Everyone wonted to rock. Def Leapord's Wasted'' wos o popular hit. Shorts were worn by many. It was hot but what better woy to show off the summer tons. It seemed more like o summer gath- ering rather than the first of many such events. The upperclassmen really showed everyone how to rock. By the end of the evening even the Freshmen were out on the floor showing off the latest steps. 1. Catherine Jacobsen ond Mary Charlton Get Down to the music. 2.  DANCIN' IN THE CAFE” 8 FRESHMEN FROLIC Are you going? Of course! Aren't you? Sure, but what ore you going to wear? Don't know! Just hope I meet someone new! The halls echo with conversa- tion during Freshmen Orientation. The big event everyone is talking about is Freshmen Frolic. Spon- sored by the Student Council, this night's activities introduces these newest Knights to high school life. Through the lower doors, up the stairs and there awaits Student Council members willing to take the money before the fun begins. Kevin Condon was playing favor- ite tunes while the Student Coun- cil Reps helped everyone get to know one another. The traditional Flashlight Dance got things started. This year the orange and Lifesaver passes were exchanged for Dr. Mixer and the Circle Sit-Down. After the games the dancing began with the Class of '86 in the swingl 1. Miss O ’ checks oui the money, SC Pres Lorry DeSmet checks out Miss O' ond VP Pot McCobe keeps on eye on everything! 2. Among the Frosh Theresa Wolseth ond Dove McAree hod o laugh- ing good rime. 3. CURIOUSLY SAVAGE? FALL PLAY The AHS Drama Dept, present- ed The Curious Savage” Oct. 7-9. The Cloisters, a home where the simple dignity of the so-called in- sane and the insanity” of the so- called normal magnified, was the setting. Mrs. Savage (Beth Potfratz) is brought to the home by her chil- dren: Titus (Mark Kilbane), Sam- uel (Steve Gasser) and Lily Belle (Mary Lanaghan.) When Mrs. Savage arrives she is greeted by the residents: Florence (Beth Loos), a woman who carries a doll representing the son she will not accept as dead: Hannibal (Frank Piet) who believes he is a great violinist: Fairy May (Eileen Burke) who needs to be told she is loved every day: Jeffery (Pat Powell) who thinks he bears a scar on his face from the war, but really the scar is much deeper and Mrs. Paddy (Keri Kilbane) who was told by her husband to Shut up” twenty years ago and now only recites things she hates. At the home Mrs. Savage meets part of the staff: Dr. Emmett (Rick Poster) and Miss Wilhemia (Ellen Thompson.) 1) Tllus tries to persuade Mrs. Poddy to folk. 2) Am I gorgeous yet? 3. Or. Emmet tries to help one of his patients. Mrs. Savage. 10 Student Life
