The dancers were another hit at the Exchange Assembly. 65 Seniors Some tears fell down my cheeks and then I smiled, As those smile who have no face in the world To smile back to them. I had lost a friend. - MRS. FAREWELL TO THE SENIORS This poem is a poor farewell When compared to man others For it speaks not of the little things That warm the hearts of mothers It does not praise the things you've done Though things done well indeed. But it speaks to new individuals and The inquisitive minds now freed. Freed not from work nor toil nor strain. For the hardest Is yet to come, You'll find that you'll work so hard Your bodies will be numb So have your say and speak your piece. Show the world how to live For this, my friends, is the greatest gift any class of seniors could give. But whatever you do, or whatever you don't And whatever you will or whatever you won't Remember; Life’s a battle not easily won And before it is ended it must be begun. — Dan Czolgosz 80
