Sister Laurette directed them, and they were ac- companied by Miss Nancy Kiolbasa. The girls worked en- thusiastically on songs for Contest and Spring Concert. BOYS GLEE CLUB Sheryl and Judy sang a duet, “Ah, Lovely Meadows’’, for concert. They received a superior rating. Dan Deans was V.-P., Sheryl Hinman, Sec., and Bernie Heiser, Treas. The representatives were Lorin Kuhnel, Terry Hooker, Tim Arthur, and Mary Chase. The Council's supreme achievement was getting Honor Roll time for the eligible students. They also spon- sored the Court King Queen Dance. The theme for the event was “Midnight Hour” and the Arena was decorated appropriately. The N’X Generation played for the dance. The Panthers beat Hay Springs 84-47 THIS MAGIC MOMENT LOUIS AND KAREN ROSIE AND KENNY The theme for the 1969 Prom was “This Magic Moment”. A banquet was given by the Junior Class in honor of the Seniors. Servers for the banquet were Mary Chase, Judy Goffena, Beth McGannon, Kim Moore, Kathy Hoes- ing, Terry Hooker. Bill Melton, Jim Kelley, Steve Stewart and Bernard Chasek. Guest Speaker at the Banquet was Father Thomas Ryan, a former assistant pastor at St. Patrick’s. The Night was highlighted with the coronation of the King and Queen. The King was Ken Thoendei and the Queen was Rosie Burkhart. Attendants were Louis Kuhnel and Karen Schommer. The evening was truly a “Magic Moment.” The center of attraction: The Magic Apple Tree. The Wishing Well Punch Table. The servers are Mary Chase, Beth McGannon, Karen Kelley reads the Class Will. All earned letters and formed the backbone of the team. 1968-1969 Panthers During the season, the Panthers won the West- ern 10 Conference and ended with a 9-0 record. The Panthers overwhelmed their op- ponents statistically and score wise. The Varsity had a record of 13 wins and 9 loses. During the season the Panthers cap- tured 3rd place in the CSC Holiday Tourney and 2nd in the Western 10 Conference Tournament. These 5 boys composed the nucleus of the “B” Squad with several other boys who also played Varsity. Although not enjoying a winning season they gained valuable experience. These girls were very enthusiastic and did a superb job of cheering the boys on. They ended the season with a 13-14 record and next year prom- ises to be very successful. “A” SQUAD BERN1E HEISER STUDENT MANAGER COACHES-SR. SHEILA MARIE AND SR. CAROL MARIE. B” SQUAD Glen Witte is the winner of a One Year University of Nebraska Regent’s Scholar- ship. Our school secretary, Mrs. Broberg. Girl’s and Boy’s State Candidates are John Stewart, Dan Deans, Julie Grantham and Chris DeHaven.
