Chadron Nebraska DEDICATION We, the students of Assumption Academy, wish to dedicate our '66' Yearbook to you Father Flinn, in appreciation for all you have done for us and for our school. HAWAIIAN SUNSET The 1965 Homecoming festivities were begun on the afternoon of October 13th with the crowning ceremony in the Assumption Arena. DuWayne Burgess and Connie Morrall were revealed by Father Flinn, as the King and Queen. Their first attendants were Denise Donohue and Joe Hoesing. Mary Lindeken and Marty McGannon were chosen as second attendants. Afterwards there was a parade through town. The class Princes and Princesses were as follows: Junior ciass-Janlce Lauder and Jim-Hamous. Sophmore class-Joan Earl and Jim Helser. Freshman class-Michele Linden and DuWayne Katen. The Homecoming was a real success following our victory over the Harrison Warriors. On October 29, King Marty McGannon and his attendent, Mary Lindeken crowned Christ the King. During the season Bill has collected a total of 171 points which entitles him to the Mr. Track trophy which will re- main in the school. Pat holds the girls' shot put record in Nebraska, which she won at a trackmeet held In Chadron. Sheryl was awarded a scholarship by the American Legion. These four girls attended A.A. for 13 years.
