Text from Pages 1 - 176 of the 1980 volume:

The HORNET staff hopes that we've successfully captured a few of these moments in the pages of this yearbook—the events, people, places and emotions that are part of Aspermont High School . . . from beginning to end. A new year is ahead of us full of opportunities and happenings. We prepare ourselves for another 175 days of work and play, hardships and friendships, good times and bad. But these memories slip by as quickly as the year does and sometimes are forgotten forever. IT'S ONLY THE BEGINNING Gee, I'm so embarassed. The Homecoming, sports, plays, banquets—these are all elements which make up every school year. But it is what happens within these events that makes each year special. Everyone will have different memories of this year, but then again, that is how it should be. Each person will view every event his or her own way, and no two will be alike. There is one link between all of them, though. The memory of these happenings will stretch throughout the year—from beginning to end. What's next? Grin and bear it. liipffl- si...m i . • : lilii LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION! 4%-' roo oco xo SENIORS 1980 Rebecca Castaneda Thomas Roy Cris 14 IN MEMORIAM Bill Hawkins - 1961-1979 Bill was a cowboy, a redneck, a fighter, and a gentleman.
