However, our basket- ball team and coach made an outstanding record. They displayed team work, sportsmanship, school loyalty, and a desire to play the game. We are proud to dedicate this yearbook to the fighting Hornets and their Coach. The 1968 Annual Staff ujierintent ent’s lllesscttjt? Keep this book well. You will derive a great deal of pleasure from it in future years. Your school days are the happiest days of your life. I am happy to have been your superintendent and friend. Sincerely, ' ft- (y- $ ¥|ti}h j 'duml prmttpctl Mr. Hurl ?lamesun You hold in your hand a pictorial record of the 1967-68 student life on Aspermont High school campus. As you look at the photographs and scenes in the yearbook, may they recall happy associations and joyous experiences. As this yearbook gives evidence, the student life at Aspermont High School is well rounded. However, there was one outstanding activity this year. Our complete athletic program enjoyed a more successful year than has ever been known in the history of Aspermont High School. This in itself is a compliment to the student body of this fine school. (Ifkciti? j duuil JJrmripctl Mr. Sim ’prahbp I should like to thank each of you students for making the 1967-1968 school year a successful one. My desire for each of you is that you make every effort to become the person you are capable of being. Be ready to learn each day. Apply yourself, in school and out, continual- ly. Take advantage of your educational opportunities. Enjoy your vacation time. Relax, have fun, and come back to school next fall ready to learn more. TROY GAUNTT M.E. - ACC Biology - Football MRS. W. This has been one of the most wonderful years that A.H.S. has ever enjoyed in school work and in athletic events. We hope that you will like your '68 Hornet. I am sure that no one has ever worked with a better staff. They worked diligently to make your yearbook the best annual ever. Now we present it for your pleasure and enjoyment. The members of the annual staff would like to express a special thanks to our advisor, Mrs. Opal Jones. She has spent many long, patient hours working with us. □ taylor publishing company
