MRS. JOHN P. WARD The contribution of a single individual is often over- looked in the picture of the life of a high school. An individual teacher may exert an immeasurable influence on the lives of those students who will one day be lead- Because such an individual merits the title teacher and -because such a person gave herself to school and community life and demands no praise in return, the Senior class dedicates the 1963 edition of the Hornet to Mrs. John P. Ward, former head of the English depart- ment.

The good Lord blessed you with mental and physical ability and you have used this abil- ity throughout your high school career to achieve goals for your- selves and Aspermont High School that no other class before you has achieved.
