‘Till the World Ends I ill tlu World Ends” was the theme of this year’s carnival held on October 18. Lisa Hollenbeck was chairwoman. I he proceeds, totalling $476.04, went toward purchasing the new popcorn machine. A new booth added this year was the balloon grab. The decorations were red, white, and blue. Representing the Senior Class as Salutatorian and Valedictorian were Brad Scheelke and Mike Lee, respectively. AHS is proud of its students who have shown real ambition and who have helped the Asotin High student body become highly recognized in our town. Other awards also presented were to senior Ed Wren and sophomore Belinda Larsen, recipients of the Principal’s Award. Mike Haberman was given the Rudolph J. Haberman Memorial Award. Named to the Society of Distinguished American High School Students were Sandy Avey, Rhonda Keefer, Mike Lee, Brad Scheelke, and Ed Wren. Kathy Tuschoff was awarded a $ 100 savings bond for the Telephone Citizenship Essay Contest. Curt Scheelke received a $50 bond, and Bill Lee, a third place certificate. The DAR Good Citizen Award was received bv Brad Scheelke. Chosen Betty Crocker Family Leader of Tomorrow was Rene Schwartz. 25
