Play Monopoly was the theme of the 1972 school carnival held on Oct. 7. The booths were decorated to resemble Monopoly real estate cards. Profits netted from the student body project amounted to $1000. On Nov. 17, the Girls' Club sponsored their annual Sadie Hawkins Dance. Thirty couples danced to the music of Gold Rush. Bodl es, Booze Set Theme Fifteen-member cast gathers after performance Bodies and booze provided the action for George Batson’s mystery farce, RAMSHACKLE INN, on March 30. Set during the Prohibition Era, the play dealt with an illegal liquor racket operated by Patton, the janitor-turned-murderer, who was characterized by Don Trodahl. Belinda Pryde, portrayed by Lori Ausman, complicated Patton’s operation by buying the inn from Marne Phillips, played by Pam Ausman. Other good guys in the play were Rian VanLeuven, Linda Hammond, Karen Pelto, Teresa Lathrop, Mike Katzenberger, Debi Sargeant, Heidi VanLeuven, and William Long. Having roles of Patton’s associates were Lori Martin, Dave Pelto, and Judy Shaw. Mrs. LeRoy Erickson, drama coach, was assisted by Kathy Bowman, student director. ’Don't forget to keep those shades closed! 30
