The year 1972-73 was a year of firsts—the first football team, the first home track meet, the first night baseball game under the lights, and the first outdoor graduation. The center of these firsts was the new Chief Looking Glass Athletic Complex where 21 graduates were presented with diplomas on May 25 amid class colors of red, white, and blue. Misses Kathy Bowman and Gail Johnson spoke as valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively.
The class officers for the year were Pam Ausman, president; Gail Johnson, vice president; Nadine DeJean, treasurer; Kathy Bowman, secretary; and Dave Hedt, representative.
