Girls' State is a practical application of Americanism and good citizenship. Its purpose is to provide citizenship training for girls, and it provides an opportunity to live together as self-governing citizens in order to learn their duties, privileges, rights, and responsibilities as American citizens. Evergreen Boys' State was held in Parkland, Washington. The purpose of Boys' State is to teach the workings of government in Washington, and to promote good citizenship.
