Our class play, The Mummy and fhe Mumps. under 'rhe direcfion of Mrs. Sperry, was a big hif. The Prom was also held in April and we were happy fo say fhaf bofh of fhese evenfs were very successful. We are anxious fo be fhe all-imporfanf Seniors of I945. Sophomore Class Hisfory C5089 ln I942 fhe Asofin High School was honored fo receive whaf is now a very brillianf Sophomore Class. lnifiafion was really somefhingl We came fo school looking like rag bags, and could hardly waif for fhe end of fhe day fo come. We gave our refurn parfy fo fhe Sophomores on Hallowe'en nighf. This year we puf fhe Frosh fhrough a lovely inifiafion. alfhough 'lhey were much wilder fhan we had been. We also had several good parfies. We have had a lol' of fun fhis year and we're all looking forward fo our Junior year. Freshman Class Hisfory GNOSD Twenfy-one shy buf excifed Freshmen regisfered af school fhis year. Our firsf evenf was inifiafion and we were Sophomore slaves for a day! The boys wore sarongs, jewelry, lipsficlc, furbans and beaufiful red foe nail polish fhaf enhanced fhe beaufy of fheir bare feef. The girls were dressed as farmereffes. ragdolls, darlcies and comic characfers. We cer- fainly were in fhe limelighf fhaf day. We gave several parfies fhis year and also foolc parf in high school funcfions. We're planning fo accomplish greaf fhings nexf year.

Jean Darsi and Jennie Giardinelli placed ihird in a 'rwirling coniesi a+ ihe Spring Music Fesiival in Lewis+on las+ year. Since +he girls have no ins+ruc+or, we feel +hey accomplished a greal' deal by ihemselves. Jean Darsl' was lead maioreHe wi+h Jennie Giardinelli, Naomi Wal'- lcins, Frances Wilsey and Nadene Curry as ihe maioreiies. Glee Club 65429 The Glee Club's Spring Concert which was presenied in April under 'rhe direcfion of Miss Beadles was a very successful produciion. Noveliy. classic, pa'l'rio+ic and semi-secular numbers were included on +he program. The Glee Club. composed of 20 members, also enieriained al' P.-T. A. programs, 'rhe Chris+mas program and several oiher public funciions. Band GNQSD The High School Band, also under +he direciion of Miss Beadles, has shown good improvemenf ihis year. Rehearsals for +he I9 members were held 'rhree limes a week. When weafher permi++ed. ihe group lead by The maioreiles marched in forma- +ion drill work. The band has enleriained ai assemblies and many baslceiball games.
