Naomi +oId me +ha+ Jackie Farrish is married 'ro a Naval Officer who is al sea. She is leaching in +he primary grades a+ Los Angeles. I wanied +o visil her so I also spenl' several days in Los Angeles. As I journeyed 'rhrough several unknown 'rowns in Texas, I noliced in a local paper where +he sheriff, Gerald Trenl. is oul 'ro gel his man-dead or alive. From Texas I wenl' 'ro Arkansas where I saw Lowell Miller. He said he was siill looking for lhe missing link belween man and monkey. I flew from Arkansas +o Miami. Florida. When I slepped ou+ of lhe plane lhere was Sam Gafherer lo meer me. He is now Superiniendenf of Aircrafl Mainlenance 'For Pan American Airways. Sl'anIey Johnson was wilh him. Slanley is Squadron Leader ol lhe 777l'h Fighler Group in 'lhe Uniled Slales Army Air Corps. From Miami I +ook a liner lo New York. While lhere I visiied lhe New York Times. As I walked inlo ihe building guess who I saw looking very imporlanl behind a desk? None olher 'fhan Dean Ausman, now edi+or-in- chief. While I was lalking 'lo Dean in walked his ellicienl secrelary. Char- Iolle Sperry. When I arrived in Chicago, I read in 'fhe sociely column where Macil Bly had iusl relurned from Reno for lhe fourlh lime. She announced l'ha+ 'rhe nex'r fime she was going +o marry a hill-billy. On my way home I slopped off in Wyoming where I visired Harvey Sco++ and his wife, Ilda. They are living on a large caHIe and wheal ranch. They, +oo, have several Iiflle cowboys and cowgirls around The ranch. My! Whal a wonderful lrip. and we had a grand reminiscing abour 'rhe happy days we had al Asolin Hi. I+ was cerrainly a +hriII lo know ihal each member ol our class was gelling along so well in lhe world. And lhe one characlerislic +ha+ 'rhey all seemed 'ro have relained was +he happy carefree disposilions +ha+ ihey had when lhey were Seniors way back in I944 in Asolin, Washinglon.
