Let's take a journey ren years into the future to see what the graduating class of 1955 might be doing then. You'll need to bring along nothing more than your imaginations, so all aboard for 1965. Here we are in Askov on a warm sunny day. What a busy town, and how it has grown. The first thing that is called to our attention is the new hospital. We have more time than money so let's stop and visit our friend Freida, who for ther past years has advanced to the position of superintendent of nurses. Well, we had a nice visit with Freida, but because of her busy schedule we couldn't stay on . gAs we come off the hospital grounds, a big billboard catches our eye. It says in big letters, nRiver Hill Speedway,n stating that Darrell Madsen, the speed champion will be performing today. we can't miss this. It's really not surprising to see him in a place like this. He must have gotten his practice during noon hours when he went to high school. We talked with Darrell after the show and later went back to town as we wanted to get some clothes that met with the new 1965 styles. A fashionab e little clothing store meets our eyes. nBev's Apparelu. The name sounds familiar doesn't it? Let's go in and investigate. You guessed it. There stands Beverly by a long rack of skirts. She seems to know just what looks best on us. Well we feel better now and we look a little more up to date. But these clothes are just like the ones Beverly wore to school. Her fashions were always ahead of Askov fashions we thought. After going on such a shopping spree our funds are getting low. We have some travelers checks but I doubt they are worth anything as they are of course, ten years old. So here we are in Sand- stone in the bank trying to get them renewed, and here is Elsie to wait on us. She is now working in he bank--part time that is. The rest of her time is pretty well taken up at home. Raising kids is a big job--especially when you have six of them. . In a television studio we find a big show being produced, called the nMonette Comedy Hourn. Duane, the master of ceremonies has become quite a cele- brity these days, especially with the girls. His guest star is Paul Petersen, who has taken the place of George Gobel. It seems Paul's rendition of nHerman the Goatn and nAlbert and His Pet Flean amuses his audiences as much as it amused us when he gave it in school. It would be fun to know how many of our seniors of 1955 stayed close to home. So let's spend some time in Pine County before we journey on farther with our imaginations. Let's visit some of our northern towns. Speaking of towns, we are surprised to see Sextonville, formerly known as Kerrick, until Tim Sexton took -over. Tim now runs the grocery store, a feed store, a lumber mill and a r brewery. Besides this, he is the justice of the peace, the president of the Sex- tonvil e Chamber of Commerce and last but not least the mayor of the town. On a,large farm called the Berglund Contour Plowing Experimental Farm, we find Edward, who has devoted his time to experimenting with his new plows. He has gone into town this afternoon to take in the Bruno Rodeo and Stock Show. Let's go in and see it too. Well, we did, and guess who we found managing it? Delores Krueger. She's doing everything from trick riding to bedding horses. we also ran into another member of the senior class. Deanna Budd also stayed in Bruno to children of her own school. She's doing A little farther and we also meet her Rendevous. It is a we hear a familiar voice. It's the from the radio station, KDAL. She spend the pay check of a school bus driver. Besides four she has an additional twenty as she runs a day nursery a very nice job north is a very husband. Their favorite eating of it too. cozy little restaurant. Inside we see Helen little restaurant is called the North Shore place of tourists. While in the restaurant, voice of Frances Dahlgren, and it's coming is known by the name of, not nFamousn, but NFamousern. If your imaginations are still with us we will go out of our state and head for the west. Here we find Patrick in San Francisco behind a big mahoganny desk. His present work is writing articles for the nBe Healthyn magazine. He is also writing a book on unsuccessful dieting, taken from his own experiences. Sy via is teaching physical education in one of the prominent schools in the city. She is very proud of her many trophies, expecially the one she received when she and her students gave a gymnastic exhibition in Helsinki. We find Barbara Johnson in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she is dancing all her cares away. She is one of the top instructors at the Arthur Murray Stud os. She teaches t e Lindy, which has been revived and made popular again. In Galveston, Texas we find Bobby Thomsen, who has a taxi service there. to our surprise he is somewhat taller. No, I guess he's not, I see a stack of Sears Roebuck catalogs under him. In his spare time he coaches the family bas- ketball team. His five boys are wonderful players and his four girls make dar- ling cheerleaders .
