But in due time, we began to feel right of home with all our new friends, hoping that some day we would be filling the shoes of our junior ond senior superiors. Striving hard to mate the year o successful one were Junior Red Cross representatives Arden Allcock, Judy Blonk, Ricky Bryant, Carol Childs. Anthony Colucci. Tom Guernsey. Eleanor Jensen, Terry Leonard, Kathleen McKinley. Richord Mullen, Muriel Muto, Ted Osowski. Dennis Patrick. Richard Severa, Suzonne Sheldon, and Johanna Welty. Sophomore Y-Teons elected Mory Ann Utho, treasurer. Emily fisher, secretory, ond Janet lignctta. Inter-Club Council mombcr. Hi-Y officers ore as follows: Ernest Trozzo, president; Louis De Wein, vico-president; David Allen, socrotory; Jorry Uflord, treasurer; and Jim O'Brien, chaplain and sergeant-at-arms. Contributing their talents to the A Coppella Chair were six sophomore boys: David Allen, Louis Do Wein, Richord Mullen, lorry xaturo, Richord Severo, ond Jim Sfreicher. Moiorettes Linda Wilbur ond Patricio Locke led rho band through their various routines with their twirling batons. In the field of athletics, reserves Clyde Brewer, Ray Buck, Bill Jenner. Lorry Jepson, Bill Magnusen. Edwin Michaels, Dennis Patrick, iMonoger) ond Ted Osowski showed plenty of drive and spirit on the football field os they trudged onword for one victory after another. Stove Candela ond Dominic Volpone. putting forth that extra skill ond talent, were rewarded with letters. On the basketball court, reserves Jock Allio, Clyde Brewer. Borthel Brenner. Ricky Bryont, Stove Condola, Lorry Jepson, Dkk Loszlo. Dennis Minick, ond James Smith displayed an exciting performance In every game. There was never o dull moment with this peppy foursomo—Muriel Muto. Marilyn Palumbo. Nancy Peorson, ond Dorlene Zoblisein who demonstrated o cheerleodmg technique of their own ot the reserve gomes ond pop assemblies. FTA helped students gam much experience in the field of teaching, while FHA aided girls in being better homemakers. Many other sophomores look part in Latin, Dramatic, Service, Projectionist clubs, ond bond. Wo, tho sophomores of '56, have hod a wonderful year. Wo hovo shored many happy days with one onothcr ond hope that in our two years that follow we shall be obte to give much in return for all AHS has given us. 1
