Eighth Grade History In the fall of 1941, the following eighth graders filed in for their first year of school: Rita Weher, Orland Haun, Paul Setzekorn, Anna Mae Thomson, Peggy Keen, Bill Shelton, Jo and Jean Keen. Mrs. Zula Estes was our teacher. The next year there were only nine of us. Mrs. Helen Fulton was our teacher. In the third grade Mrs. Viola May was our teacher. There were six in the class. Leona Wilson, Jo and Jean Keen had left us. Benny Rynski and Larry Wolfe joined us. We returned for our fourth grade with Mrs. Viola May as our teacher. There were seven of us. In the sixth grade Wesley Jones and Thelma Cooper were our teach- ers. There were eight of us. Benny Rynski had left us. George Dowdy joined us. The rooms had been changed. The first grade was by itself. The second and third grades were together, fourth and fifth combined, and the sixth, seventh, and eighth also combined. In the seventh grade our teachers were Thelma Cooper and Wesley Jones. There were ten in the grade. At last comes the eighth year. There are now thirteen of us. They are Orland Haun, Lucille Sensel, Darlene Thomson, Larry Wolfe, Paul Setzekorn, Harold Evans, Anna Mae Thomson, Peggy Keen, Leslie Voekel, and Billy Shelton. Joe Allan Reynolds had left us. Our teachers this year are Kathryn Heath, Viola Stroube and Wesley Jones. By Peggy Keen
