Senior Prophecy ress at Bernice's new business place. A floor show is given every night called The Johnson's starring Bernice's ten kids. The next ball of fire revealed to me Inez Stephens, who was captain of the ship La Terry . Her new cabin boy is, guess who. Who should appear next but Mary Thompson and Hazel Udarholt, who were such pals in school and could never stand to be separated. As a result I've learned that they never mar- ried-but have a career writing Advice To The Lovelorn for the Ashley Gazette. Then I saw a person painting, this was Lyle Kane. He's very famous now and his favorite model is a cute little cheerleader. More balls of fire appeared and this was Jerry Jones and Stanley Brown, who are the star players on the St. Louis Bomb:-1r's team now. Then I saw Freida Skibinski appear, she is the manager of a lonely hearts club in Richview and her acquaintances are guaranteed to please. Last but not least I saw Charlotte Hagebush and Bill Cook. C. A. had just pre- sented her first set of false teeth to her husband land childhood sweet- hearty who is coaching the Nashville team this year. As Bill and C. A. faded from sight my head began to claer and I opened my eyes-all of these visions I had seen were just dreams-I had been knocked out by the explosion. Well, it was fun anyway, just imagin- ing what my classmates would be twenty years from now. Enough dream- ing for this time, I have to hurry and get dinner for my husband and kids. Senior Prophecy One day as I was working feverishly in my laboratory ftrying to nnd a way to prevent frecklesh, I hastily mixed the contents of two test tubes, .... and a great explosion occurred. And what to my amazed eyes did appear but many small dancing balls of fire. As I sat and watched in amazement the balls began to take the shape of people. At my secoiiilbglance I was assured that the people were my classmates from A.T. .'. Then the first ball revealed to me the image of Ethel Mae Newcomb who was dancing at Club Paramount with thousands of people watching her. As the first glow faded from sight, a second appeared. This was Adeline Nadolski who had been such a shy little girl in school. What should she be doing! . . . but standing in a cage, surrounded by lions. Yes--strange as it seems-Adeline had grown up to be a lion tamer. The next figure I saw was Marie McKinzie who was working in the main office of Benson's Mink Farm and whose picture should be setting on her desk but Charles . Leaving Marie, I saw two other figures. Charlotte Cameron and Duane Briesacker. Charlotte and Duane are both very popu- lar-Charlotte for her excellent modeling and Duane for his paintings of her. The next glowing flame showed the silhouette of Nelson Draege sit- ting at a desk. He is the owner of Richview's Toothpick Factory and a little blonde is his favorite secretary. Then I saw two other people-Mart lyn Someske and Carl Udarholt being swarmed by admirers-Carl, due to his manly physique has just starred in a jungle picture and Marilyn was his leading lady. A neatly clothed block picture now approached-this was Kenneth Conley, better known throughout Southern Illinois as Reverend Conley. He was earnestly working on his sermon for the evening. He is-also a great writer and the author of Evils of Flossie Pringdinglef' so I see Kenneth became quite successful in his latter years. Then my vision was attracted by Junior Deering and Bill Evans who were farming their land. But Bill's main interest is not farn1ing-but-- Nadine Wolf. Seems as though Nadine agrees with him too. The next ball of fire brought Wilma Smith into view. She was wrting a letter to a cer- tain Gene and has also written a few master pieces in the line of books. Her latest seller is How To Gain Weight . Then I saw Arlene Newman, who was always so active in school sports, receiving an award for the out- standing coach of the year. Arlene has led the A.T.H.S. boys to their 50th victory. Then I saw a girl sitting in a rocking chair knitting-to my amazement I saw that this was Patsy Rav. It seems she could never quite make up her mind which man she wanted. so as I found out she is peace- fully living the life of an old maid. Then I saw three boys, Stanley Holtz, Donald Thomas and Joe Szathowski-these boys are working on a cam- paign to raise money to donate to A.T.H.S. This money will go towards erecting escalators and venetian blinds in our beloved school. Evelyn Heck and Bernice Wisniewski appeared next. Evelyn is working as head wait- QContinuedJ
