He has been assistant principal since 1955. be, ae % ; eee ne MRS. LORINE W. CATHEY Mrs. Cathey, the registrar, is a native of Bristol, Ten- nessee, but she has lived in Gastonia most of her life. In addition to her work at Ashley, Mrs. Cathey is Vice-President of the Southwestern District of the Department of Educational Secretaries of the North Carolina Education Association and a member of the First Wesleyan Methodist Church. Her hobbies include reading and dancing.
