Syrrdbti; Che largest organization at Ashley High School, the Pep Club, seeks to instill a spirit of pride and interest in the student body regarding all programs, with special emphasis on the athletic program. Any student passing his current subjects and maintaining an 85 on citizenship is qualified for membership. Pep Club members engage in such activities as decorating the stadium for football games and the gymnasium for basketball games; they also sponsor busses to out-of-town games. An additional project this year was booster buttons for the basketball games; these were printed and assembled by the members. Page One Hundred Fou

SPANISH CLUB Membership in the Spanish Club is extended to students of both second and third year classes who desire to enlighten their present knowledge of Spanish and to supplement their conversational ability. All meetings are conducted entirely in Spanish, providing an excellent opportunity for members to apply their knowledge of the language. A major project during the second semester is the Pan American Day program, pre- sented for the student body. a ea i ie % Page One Hundred Six Lagat : a: ¥ W j | i ia §) 8 id The activities of the Radio Club give each member a chance to experiment and discuss new developments in sound. This year the club provided the lights for the Homecoming program, as well as working the microphone and all electrical equipment for assemblies in the auditorium. The club operates Radio Station WELA with ten watt power at a frequency of six hundred and fifty kilocycles with a range of approximately one-half mile.
