Students in this program spend their mornings in class and their afternoons on the job. There are district, state, and national Distributive Education clubs in D.E. CLUB The Camera Club, composed of students interested in photography, meets twice a month to engage in such activities as developing, printing, and enlarging pictures. This year the club purchased a new camera and addi- tional dark room equipment to enable them to take pictures for the school newspaper; they handle all pho- tography for the Fine Yarns. addition to the local one. Ashley is proud to have Steve Wallace and Dorothy Allen as officers in the district Distributive Educa- tion Club this year. Syrrdbti; Che largest organization at Ashley High School, the Pep Club, seeks to instill a spirit of pride and interest in the student body regarding all programs, with special emphasis on the athletic program. Any student passing his current subjects and maintaining an 85 on citizenship is qualified for membership. Pep Club members engage in such activities as decorating the stadium for football games and the gymnasium for basketball games; they also sponsor busses to out-of-town games.
