WE HONOR . . All of our winners— winners in the classrooms— on the athletic held —on the stage— in the contests— in the moment by moment right choices. As in Chess, no quality is more important than the one defined as ' grace under pressure.” To win brilliantly in an obviously superior position is no great feat. But to rise to the heights from a difficult position— that is the mark of a winner. I he art of winning is onlv attained when the person has fully acknowledged that the player on the other side never overlooks a mistake, or makes the smallest allowance for ignorance.” A superior force— whatever its nature may be— is unimportant if it is rendered impotent by the opponent’s superior strategy. Ashley Senior High has produced many winners in the past. It is our firm belief that we have many winners in our present student body.
