MONITORIAL COUNCIL Ronald Smith Chief Ashley Senior High has been an outstanding high school in many respects. The one which has brought most praise to our school has been the ex- cellent program of citizenship training. A. I l.S. is known throughout the state and the entire Southeast of our nation for the good behavior of the student body. Courtesy, honesty, sincerity, cooperation, and integrity are traits of character which can be checked as above average for most of the young women and young men enrolled in the student body. I he moni torial system of student participation in the administration of the high school has been the “seed bed for this citizenship training. Hie monitorial body is made up of elected representatives from each homeroom. The Monitorial Council is the Executive organization for the bodv of monitors. It is the responsibility of these two groups to lead the students in a program of good citizenship. Their duties extend to all school activities other than in the classroom.
