ff-IISTORY It was on a bright, sunny September morning in nineteen hundred and forty seven that we were first introduced to the halls of Ashley High School as Freshmen We had only one session of school each day because a new home economics room and other improvements were being added to the building Mr Greb Lasky helped us form a club as a means of learning parliamentary procedure But the big aim of our Class Party to be held in June, 19 8 The party naturally Our Sophomore year was like a pause to catch accustomed to the ways and whys of Ashley High club was a Freshmen was a huge success, our breath We were The Seniors still looked down upon us since we were underclassmen, but some day our chance would come As Juniors, we elected John Kemmereres president, Stanley Stanick as vice president, and Marjorie Balutis as secretary treasurer Then came the mad rush for subscriptionsin our magazine campaign as a means of financing the annual Junior Senior Prom The 'Sadie Hawkins' Day dance, the 'Valentine Dance and our other dances for the Prom Then we officerswere helped to augment our fund Starlandn was a gigantic success became Seniors, unbelievable as it may seem! Our class Millard Berryman, president, Lorraine Kozickl, secretary, and Joan Walters, treasurer We began the production of our yearbook and inaugurated many new ideas We also renewed the publication of our school newspaper Then we received our rings and wore them with a great feeling of pride we started practicing for Commencement and Class Day Our name cards and announcements arrived Class Day came and went, and graduation stood before .
