We wish to thank him 'hole-heartedly for helpingto make our venture a huge success. ,Yu ,ffrfm 0 31.11111 GENbVIEVE BARANOMSKI It was during our junior year that we lost one of our classmates through the untimely death of our dear friend, Genevieve Baranowski Jenny , as she was known by a 1 her friends, was born May 16, 1933 From the first grade to the eleventh year of her school life, she was a definite and vital part of our class and had many true friends among her classmates She participated in such activities as the in her junior year Movies, dancing, and cooking, she thoroughly enjoyed She was also a loyal fanof the football team Jenny had a happy, cheerful disposition and shared her good nature with everyone she met Come what may, her good spirits were never dampened It is with great sadness that we shall remember April 6 1950, as a day of sorrow, for it was on that day that we lost a true friend and classmate, Genevieve Baranowski . D f R 3 -':221f' -R N e H , j x 8 - - Q 0 ' J v ll: I H 1 , , fy O FC' - ff-IISTORY It was on a bright, sunny September morning in nineteen hundred and forty seven that we were first introduced to the halls of Ashley High School as Freshmen We had only one session of school each day because a new home economics room and other improvements were being added to the building Mr Greb Lasky helped us form a club as a means of learning parliamentary procedure But the big aim of our Class Party to be held in June, 19 8 The party naturally Our Sophomore year was like a pause to catch accustomed to the ways and whys of Ashley High club was a Freshmen was a huge success, our breath We were The Seniors still looked down upon us since we were underclassmen, but some day our chance would come As Juniors, we elected John Kemmereres president, Stanley Stanick as vice president, and Marjorie Balutis as secretary treasurer Then came the mad rush for subscriptionsin our magazine campaign as a means of financing the annual Junior Senior Prom The 'Sadie Hawkins' Day dance, the 'Valentine Dance and our other dances for the Prom Then we officerswere helped to augment our fund Starlandn was a gigantic success became Seniors, unbelievable as it may seem! Our class Millard Berryman, president, Lorraine Kozickl, secretary, and Joan Walters, treasurer We began the production of our yearbook and inaugurated many new ideas We also renewed the publication of our school newspaper Then we received our rings and wore them with a great feeling of pride we started practicing for Commencement and Class Day Our name cards and announcements arrived Class Day came and went, and graduation stood before .
