“ JH15TeQl2Y?-s 1 Z Z ,seals ,S On the balmy September morn in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred for ty six, the Freshmen Class became acquainted wi tlz the customs a nd manners of Ashley High School The first thing we did to protect ourselves from the upper classmen, was to organize ourselves into a Club Our adviser was Mr Greb Lasky, our Civics instructor To further school spirit, the Freshmen Class took t!1e responsibility f hiring buses to take students to football and basketball games To inaugurate our social life, we had as our aim, a party, which finally materialized in tlxe Spring of '47 Another September morn dawns and we are now Sophomores Our Club was so successful last year, that we again organized the Class This year, the object of our Club was to establish a school newspaper After much deliberation, 'we picked our staff a11d advisers who were Mr Greb Lasky and mr Murphy The name of our newspaper was 'The Ashley Hi Lite' published by the Sophomore Ac a demic Club. The nSAC'S' made tlxe newspaper so successful, that we decided to include the whole school as contributors Early in September, the Junior Class el.e ct ed Louis Kratz a s President, Ralph Skomsky as Vice President a11d Theresa Henicheck a s Secretary Treasurer In order to raise sufficient funds for the annual Junior Senior Prom,the Junior Class initiated the Usadie Hawkins' Dayn dance The Juniors, who had a profit able magazine campaign early in the year, augmented the class treasury tremend ously by continuing to hold successful dances throughout the school year The end of our Junior year came and the zenith of the socialyear ms reached the Annual Prom nThe Festival of Rosesn was the most beautiful prom ever presented in Ashley High School Our final year at Ashley High oh, how we hate to leave' For the first time in Senior Class history, Louis Kratz wa s elected president wi th no op position The other officers were Ralph Skomsky,Vice President,Theresa Henicheck Secretary and Ann Moll, Treasurer Various social functions during the school year were the Senior Classluay, the annual Junior Senior Christmas Party, and many dances o -v - 1- ' ' ' - ULook at my ring! ---- Isn't it beautiful?n , echoed through the halls early in February when the Seniors received their graduation rings. What a wonderful n U ' eeeee day' Graduation is rapidly becoming a reality Tempus fugit time flies, how true ' All too soon our final test was taken, and practice for Commencement began. Name cards, announcements and Yearbooks were distributed and our high school days are over We only hope that we will succeed and enjoy life as well as we have in high school F ar ewell, and welcome to our new Seniors ' lllw It-w'.1 's3
