“MICH ZINIMXIIIIIIAUII. mme ummmwun ammwmmmm W- t HUMHJLM bUULAHUN Left to right clockwise John Yancheck, Vice President, Patrick A Nealon, John Zelinka, Stanley Meholchick, President, Martin L Murray, Secretary, John Z Gorski, Treasurer, Phillip Kovalcik In order to improve our high school, the Board of Education last year embarked on a building program which was recently completed The members of the Board are to be commended for their decision to enlarge the school because it has resulted in an expanded and enriched program of studies As a six year high school, we are now enjoying additional courses, activities, facilities and services all of which were sorely needed The success the Board of Education has achieved in modernizing our school is attested to by Dr E W Cruttenden, Chief of Secondary Education Department of Public Instruction, when, after a personal investigation early in January wrote to Mr Metz the following paragraph in a letter 'The improvements and additions to the high school building and to the program of stuales during the past year are most commendable There is such a need in so many districts in Pennsylvania for improvements that it was stimulating and encouraging for meto see their concrete realization at Ashley ine new homemaking room, typing room, library, high school princ1pal's office, and health clinic room have been well planned and properly installed when fully equipped they will be equal to the best of such facilities the state for a school the size of Ashle, The improvements thatyou have made and you are planning will, l am sure, result in expanded educational opportunities with the boys and girls of Ashle, U dated January 21, l91+9: . , in
