SENIOR CLASS: SEATED; Suzanne Franks, Iris Mock, Marianne Hamman, ROW 1: Harriet Allen, Kay Varner, Sharon Rinehold, Mae Evers, Nancy Heckathorn, Ellen Skelly, Sharon Malone, ROW 2: Mr. Frederick, Jim Rigsby, Mike Buchs, Max Reinoehl, John Miller, Kenny Rakestraw, Pat Tompkins. Very early one September morning in 1957, thirty-six Freshmen gulped and began climbing the stairs to the assembly room. Officers were elected as follows: Mike Buchs, president; Joe Brand, vice- president; Ileen Vian, secretary; Harriet Allen, treasurer; Janice Camp, historian; Jackie Housman and Merlin Baird, reporters; Harold Arney, sponsor. We held two class parties. On October 11 our class sweaters arrived. In August of 1958, the Sophomores eagerly climbed the steps to the assembly, no longer frightened. Jim Kraus, Margaret Holsinger, Alfred and Sandy Crapo, Marjorie Isbell, and Pat Tompkins had joined us; we totalled 41. Officers were: Joe Brand, president; Mike Buchs, vice-president, Harriet Allen, secretary; Jan Camp, treasurer; Jackie Housman, Historian; Iris Mock and Bob Taylor, reporters; Paul Everitt, sponsor. Our class rings arrived on November 13. We held a sock hop and a skating party. During the year, Ileen Vian discontinued her schoolwork.
