Our first project was the election of class officers. The results were as follows: President, John Skellyp Vice-President, Harold Hasselmany Secretary, Karon Lepleyg Treasurer, john Dilleyp Re- porter, Iudith Presslerp Historian, Dorothy Freed: Class Sponsor, Harold Arney. Our pride and joy was, of course, the highly prized class sweaters. The year, 1957, seemed centuries away. Our first class party was a skating party at the Silvermoon Skating Rink. The next party was at Mike Scranage's home and was concluded by attending a movie at Angola. We held our first class meeting of our sophomore year in the history room. We elected officers as follows: President, Norman Leasp Vice-President, Karon Lepleyp Secretary, Iohnnie Weilbakerg Treasurer, Ioan Vifhysongy Reporter, Mike Scranage, and Historian, Dorothy Freed. Our class rings were ordered in September and we received our prized possessions on November 18, 1954. Cur very handsome class sponsor is Paul Everitt, who is at last a very happily married man, thanks to june Dunn. We held a Christmas party on December 22 at the home of Mike Scranage and attended a movie afterwards. Our skating party was given on February 14. In the department of lost and found students, we found Henry Albright and Arnold Danner have moved back with us and we lost Bertha Spencer and Wayne Smith. This leaves us with a total of thirty-nine happy, ever-lovin' sophomores. We started our junior class year with thirty-six brave and excited juniors. We elected class officers as follows: President, Iohnnie Weilbakerg Vice-President, Nancy Phillips: Secretary, Dorothy Shore: Treasurer, Ioan Whysongg Historian, Dorothy Freed: Reporter, Iudy Presslerp Class Sponsor, Dollie Arney. Barbara Ellert, Dale Kneubuhler, Harold Hasselman, Rhea High, Tom Miller and Paul Stahl have departed from our dear class but our newcomers are Kathy Shuler, Harriet Koon, and Joyce Coffey. Our first project was selling magazines with which we made a nice profit. Then came a paper drive which was hard work but lost of fun. Meanwhile, we sold Christmas cards, candy, had another paper drive, and sold more magazines. We sponsored five skating parties this year. As the annual is going to press we do not know if we are going to New York or Timbuctoo. W'E WENT TO NEW YORK. . With thirty-two seniors to start our class, we elected class officers as follows: President, Dorothy Shore: Vice-President, Iohnnie Weilbakerg Secretary, Iudith Presslery Treasurer, Ioan Whysongp Historian, Dorothy Freedg Reporter, Karon Lepleyp Class Sponsor, Fred Frederick. Our class decreased in number with the loss of Rosalie Baumgardner, Ruth Ketel, Frank Stoy and Bill Wickerham. October was the month for our senior pictures to be taken. On December l5th, we presented our play, The Birds and the Boys . At the present time we are indulging ourselves on the annual, caps and gowns, diplomas, and are anxiously awaiting our graduation. One of the highlights of the season was winning the Waterloo Invitational Tour- ney. A sentimental, but happy occasion, took place January 12, as the boys defeated Hamilton in the last game to be played in the old Town Hall. The Varsity squad is com- posed of four seniors: Iohn Skelly, Iohn Weilbaker, Don Cassleman, and Norman Leasy six juniors: Jerry Forrest, Phil Clark, Vince Geistwhite, Lyle Lockwood, Francis Kugler, and Larry Farver, and one sophomore: Gene Noll.
