I, Katrina Prosser, will Paul Stoy to no one, I, Margaret Redmon, will my good grades to Jerome Ellert, I, Fred Rose, will my ability to play pin ball machines to Carl Dilly. I, Phyllis Snyder, will my cuds of gum under my desk to the person who sits there next year. I, Dean Stoy, will my ability to raise blue ribbon steers to Bobby Schweitzer. I, Mona June Strite, will my interest in Physical Education to some of the Freshman girls who always have the toe aches, head aches and stomach aches. I, Clarice Whysong, will my long curly hair to Harold Buchs. I, Berdina Wiler, will my bottle of hair bleach to Billy Lee Chrisman. I, John Wilhelm, will my ability to act the part of Tarzen to Ronnie Parker. I, Bill Wilson, will my Casanova ways to Max Gipple. WILL We, the Class of '49 of Ashley High School, situated in the city of Ashley in the County of DeKalb in the State of Indiana, being in an unusually sound state of mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this our last will and testament, leaving our cherished possessions which we have accumulated during our four years of high school to the under-classmen and faculty. We will to Mr. Frederick, our principal, the extreme pleasure of saying ‘'so long' to the most ambitious class he has had to deal with in years, To our Math instructors, we will all unfinished algebra and geometry problems. To our English instructors, we will our excess knowledge of English which we shall not need. To our history instructor, we will all important dates and ordinances which we mastered, without a doubt. To our Agriculture instructor, we will all the shop tools we have so carefully broken and ruined. To our Home Economics instructor, we will all the food we couldn't stand to eat. To our Music instructor, we will all miscellaneous instruments used for noise making in the assembly. To the Juniors, we will our books and pencils with hopes that they will use them more than we did. To the Sophomores, we will our Senior dignity. The Senior girls will our powder puffs to the Freshman girls and Senior boys will their ability to get along with Mrs. Soudah to the Freshman boys. To the Janitor, we will all the waste paper around our desks. In addition to these bequests we wish to dispose of some of our more personal items as follows: I, Phyllis Ann Chrisman, will my good humor to Shirley Sherwood. I, Paul Conrad, will my ‘'Chevvy‘' to any one who will pay for the repair bills. I, Joan Days, will my quietness to Johnny Miller. I, Beverly Deetz, will my ability to skip school to whoever thinks he can get away with it. I, Jo Ann Ellert, will my Donald Duck voice to Helen Stomm. I, Philip Ellert, will my last name to Margaret Redmon. I, Rita Ellert, will my job at Gardners to any one who wants to get rich quick. I, Violet Gipple, will my dimples to Betty Manning. I, Marcella Hamman, will my ability to be a soda ‘‘jerk’’ to Carl Stout. I, Richard Harmes, will my butch hair cut to Gene Miller.
