Pine Whispers 1962 Ashland College Ashland, Ohio A library according to Webster is a room or building where a collection ot books, etc. is kept tor reading or reference. But I believe that our new library will mean more to us than a building of books. This library will be an important tool in every phase of our campus lite-classes, sports, or- ganizations, and activities.

DEDICATEE This school year, l96l-62, Ashland College has seen its name and fame spread farther than any time in its history. A man largely responsible for this spreading fame came to our Hilltop four years ago. His Eagle basketball teams have com- piled a record of 53 wins and 36 losses. Three of his players have been selected for the All-Conference team, and one has been placed on the N.A.l.A. All-America team. But his crowning achievement was when our gallant Eagles forced the na- tional champion Prairie View A. SQ M. team into overtime in this year's tournament in Kansas City. Not only his excellent leadership in athletics, but also his friend- ly and helpful attitude in the classroom, on campus, and at social functions have made him one of the most popular faculty members on our campus. lt is there- fore with great pride that we, the i962 Pine Whispers staff, dedicate this year- book to our basketball coach, Mr. Robert Stokes.
