Queen Dixie is about to receive a congratulatory kiss from her escort, Jack Augenstein. Fresh- man attendant Gloria Kohler is at left and ex-queen Connie Pastor and escort Tom Young are at right. A big event for Homecoming this year was the Ox Roast sponsored by the Alumni. Many enjoyed the rich, tasty meat prepared by excellent “cooks.” The top picture shows only a portion of A.C. alumni, parents and friends juicily devouring the animal. The lower picture shows the pit where the ox met his match, as well as a few of the servers.

A. C. students showed great enthus- iasm this year as a new program was launched on campus — that of the World University Service, which helps to provide financial aid to foreign students for the purpose of securing a college education. Earle Chandool, a junior from Trinidad, served as chairman of the program. This is only one of the posters made by his committee. With him are Student Council president Chuck Huff, and Jim Mackall. Frosh Janet Klingensmith, Jim Garyard, and Wilbur Bowers perform for the upper- classmen in the Nest during Freshman Initiation.
