school life — organizations Students can be a part of many different kinds of organizations. Among these are Student Council, National Honor Society, Drama Club, and A-Club. Two students from each class are elected to Stuco. To be in NHS a student must have and maintain a 3.2 grade point average. Any student may join Drama, but to join A-Club one must be male and out for sports. ' m w —- J L A-Club officers are Doug, president; Jeff, vice-president; Barrett, secretary; and Mr. Roper, sponsor. A-Club members have a cystic fibrosis drive every year; they also sell reserved parking places around the inside of the football field and popcorn is sold at every home game. Stuco members are (top standing) Ryan Boman, April Dome, Randi Baggs, J. R. Arnold, sponsor Frank Long. Seated Carrie Travis, Amy Crane, Maylene Freelove, vice-president; Amy George, president; Gayla McKinney, secretary; Doug Rich and Jim Steele. The three officiers are seniors elected by petitioning the student body. Four new members were inducted into NHS on December 1, 1987 in the high school library at 7:30 p.m. President Amy C. presented the Introduction and Service, one of the four characteristics for membership. Character: Donna Osborn, secretary; Scholarship: Amy G, vice-president; Leadership: Karen Isenbart. Doug, treasurer could not attend; he was having knee surgery.
