. . . And Supports Other Events Faculty became involved in several events throughout the year. Miss Jane Shreve took on a new challenge as the sponsor of National Honor Society. Mr. Larry Rich took on teaching grade school physical education and coaching the junior high basketball girls. Who was the first president to be assassinated? Ask American History teacher. Miss Shreve. She also teaches Kansas and World History. Mr. Brad Meredith (top) teaches senior high vocal; junior and senior high band and grade school band. Mr. Frank Long (above) has been a teacher at AHS for 14 years. He teaches Careers, Psychology, Spanish and is the counselor. 18 Faculty

. . .And Keeps The Students Going During the year the faculty had to go through a CPR course. As teachers discussed the class (above), Mrs. Linda Wilson (far right corner of picture) demonstrated mouth-to-mouth procedures on a doughnut! Mrs. Linda Wilson (right) has a full scedule with English IV, grade school, junior high and senior high Art. She also sponsors the cheerleaders. Mrs. Anna Jean Wilson (far right) teaches Bookkeeping, Typing I and sponsors the yearbook. A • « ■ As seniors we finally realize, or more honestly, respect the patience, understanding, and wisdom of our faculty. Most of them have been doing the same job for the Bluejays for many years. Perhaps 'Thank you seems too simplistic for the untold hours they devote to us for extracurricular activities, and most of all for their sincere caring about us as individuals. We are indeed fortunate! Mrs. Beverly York (right) gives a small but noticable smile for the camera. She teaches Home Economics and sponsors Y-Teens, and the junior high pep club.
