Under the direction of Mrs. Imogene Branch, they presented the comedy, One Mad Night , by James Reach. Don Cutter, an attractive young playwright, and his valet, Wing, are the surprise guests of a doctor, his nurse, and five of the funniest asylum inmates that have ever been portrayed. They were such varied characters as: Mr. Hyde, Lady Macbeth, John Alden, Priscilla, and the crazy but sane Lucille Marcy. The humor is compounded by Don's fiancee, Gertrude Finch of 5th Avenue, New York, her mother, Mrs. T. Ashington Finch, and their colored maid, Depression.

SENIOR CL A SS POEM B is for BAKER, the girl known as kitten, It's the boys' hearts that she's really smitten. LORAINE is the beauty, whose voice brings her fame, We're quite sure that it's Scott who will change her name. JUDY's been our Lady Godiva gal, To more than one, she's been a pal. B is for BIS EL, the girl with red hair, When she's around, all the boys just stare. Now here's a real cute gal, BELINDA by name, She's got the stuff to drive any boy insane. CINDY's our sharp and witty brown-eyed lass, She's been a great addition to our Senior class. D is for DAILY, our casanova supreme, To be a Hay's cowboy is his big dream. LOREN's the guy who's not like his name of GRAVE, He is sure to make some special girl rave. MIKE's our guy who to town he often does go, We wonder, does it have anything to do with Jo? MARY is a very intelligent lass, She was valedictorian of the illustrious Senior class. IRAS, Maggie, or Maggot, it's all the same, To us she is the class's sweet little dame. Our girl from down south, that's our NAOMI, To her Mike is anything but bologna, KAREN's our favorite from Wellington, With her you're sure to have some fun. Some call him RON, others know him as Breezy, But whatever he does, it's sure to be easy. RANDY's the boy that Sherlyn calls, honey, We all know that she's his own private bunny. Our guitar pickin' guy answers to the name of TERRY, It's been fun to be with him, 'cause he's so merry. For nigh on six weeks now, a brace STEVE's been wear-in', But for longer than that, HELEN'S been given Good citizen and Betty Crocker as a name, But we'll remember her as Horrible.. . and it's all the same. ANDY is our runner and president most dear, With Mac at the helm, we were always in fear. CAROL REDGER starred as Mrs. T. Ashington Finch, That she's destined for great things is surely a cinch. DOUG ROBERTS drives a red pick-up and black supersport, We're sure Hays will provide him with lots of girls to court!! FRANK REYNOLDS is that wild and wonderful wooer of Debi, And he has a gas bill to prove his foot is heavy. RITA has failed at her one RINEHART ambition, Which was to enlist Mike as a Senior addition. S is for SMITH, who's so clever in bookkeeping, When he goes to Salina, all the girls will be left weeping. STEVENS is big, brawny, and what a football player, One little secret tho, he's also a girl slayer! That DEN DEN is funny is fact without proof, Cause we all laugh and giggle around old Snaggle-tooth. RICK TREASE has the good looks to be a movie star. Nancy even thinks he's Elvis when he strums the guitar. It wasn't a jail, but a hospital where LONNIE was book-ed, Wedding bells will ring, and it's to Vickie he's hooked. With Bill gone to Hays, JAN gave her spot on the bench, To a blonde Junior, we all call Mike Lynch. W is for WILLIAMS, smiling, friendly, and gay, It looks like he's destined to be always that way! SHARON's one gal we all hate to see leave, Wherever she goes, you may be sure there'll be Steve. JOYCE is our girl whose name will be Ahring, his ring's been on Sharon. 'Cause it's John she'll soon be marrying. FRANK has served faithfully as STUCO president, As a wildcat at KSU he'll be a great resident. 14
