Wendell A. McMinimy DEDICATION It is a privilege to dedicate this page to Mr. Wendell McMinimy, who was a member of the Sitka and Ashland school boards for seventeen years. Mr. McMinimy served as treasurer on the Ashland school board and he was a man who was always willing to do whatever he could to better community life. In addition to being an outstanding farmer-stockman, Mr. McMinimy was an active participant in community and church affairs. Mr McMinimy passed away September 21, 1965, but we in Ashland High School realize that we are indebted to him for the fine services he performed for our schools. His worthwhile efforts will be felt for many years in our school system, as students pursue goals of excellence which Mr. McMinimy always upheld. It is with a deep feeling of gratitude and respect that we dedicate this page to Mr. Wendell McMinimy who did so much to further the excellence of education in our school system. 2

BOARD OF EDUCATION BOARD MEMBERS FORM SCHOOL POLICY The Ashland Board of Education is composed of three members who serve three year terms. One member is elected each year at the annual school meeting. The many responsibilities of the board members include the formulation of school policies, establishing a budget and operating an ever-growing institution. The business of our school system is conducted at the monthly meetings of the board. The Ashland public school system continues to grow and improve through the cooperative efforts of the board and school administrators. We are grateful to the school board members who give so willingly of their time. They are truly dedicated citizens acting as public servants for the betterment of our school system.
