PEP CLUB The school spirit was boosted by the loyal Jayettes. Led by Louise Redger, President, the Pep Club committees presented pep skits, decorated goal posts, made pep posters and arranged transportation for away games. For money-raising projects, the Jayettes sold Bluejay car stickers and pennants. Hats off to those loyal fans for the good work they have done to boost the spirit of AHS. DEBATE Ten debaters battled their way around the proposition that a program of compulsory arbitration should be adopted in labor management relations. Ashland hosted its first Invitational Tournament. The intellectual debaters also attended tourneys at Medicine Lodge, Meade, and Liberal. Ashland placed third in the Kingman meet. Representing AHS in the District Tournament at Greensburg were Bill Seidel, Don Harden, Jan Washburn, and Iras Humphreys.
