Senior Class Poem The time has come for us to leave the halls of A. H. S. And when we're wrinkled, old, and gray, we'll love them not the less, So for our last donation to our school, we leave to you, A glimpse of each and all of us, The Class of '62. A is for Aldridge, our underestimated man, If he can't shock one--nobody can! B is for the shy one, our own Karen Breit, As a hard-working gal, she's really all right. B is for Broadie, our brown-eyed beauty, With her brains, she'll do well on her Alaskan duty. D is for Doctor. . .err. . .Daily, we mean Prettiest Queen we ever have seen. G is for George, our William Jennings Bryan As Senior Class President, he's very reliant. G is for Glen, our All-League football player, Elusive, deceptive, he's quite a lady-slayer. H is for Hinson, our fleet-footed friend, From tulip to tulip's his favorite trend. J is for Johnston, our light-headed lass She's the most changeable gal in our class. M's is for McPhail, the teasingest ever, The time when he'll be without girls will be never. M is for Miles, and the teachers all sigh, Cause her favorite password has always been Why? M is for Moore, most charming at least, As long as we've known her, her smile's never ceased. M is for Moore, in his green limousine, With Pat at his side, he can often be seen. O's is for O'Bleness, our friendliest member, Since we can remember, long, lanky and limber. R is for Rankin, willing and able, Her way with money will soon lead to Sable. S is for Sneed, our sweet bouncy pal, Soon she'll be an altar-bound gal. S is for Stein, except around animals, he's very shy, But in the Band Room an unbeatable guy. S is for Strouse with the fiery red hair, Her A's in math show she uses great care. T is for Trease, who joined us this year, We've found good use for him, you needn't fear. W is for Wilson, we call her Dot . To be an English major is what she's long sought. W is for Wimmer, as a cook she is great, For a freckle-faced friend, with all she does rate. W is for Wyatt, for envy of her--we girls may all die, If she wants to gain weight, she has to try. S is for Swanson, our sponsor so dear, He's glad that this will be our last year. And now we leave you, underclassmen, with this admonition, If you mind the teachers, you might escape perdition. And if by chance you make it to the night of Graduation, We predict you'll be like us, with tears and great elation! 11
