Visiting Dogpatch Consequences of swimming OZARKS OR BUST Thirty seniors and four sponsors were present on the Senior Trip. They saw and did many things including: dancing on the river boat, touring Phantom Acres, attending the Ozark Opry, browsing at Dogpatch, watching a water skiing pageant, marveling at Kelsey's Antique Cars, and helicopter riding, seaplane flying and motor boating at Bagnell Dam. Five days of fun and little relaxation were enjoyed by all. Tired, Coach? Visited Ozark Opry View of Bagnell Dam Taking it easy after seeing Dogpatch Exhausted Leaving for Home. Picnic on the Beach.

SENIOR CLASS POEM A--is for Aldridge, one of our triple trio members. She plans to start an airline career come September. B—is for Baker with the beautiful voice. Cotty in Missouri is the college of her choice. B—is for Berryman who has talent galore knowing Merilyn, there's lots of fun in store. B—is for Betschart our nurse to be and too, a cherry pie champ is she. C—is for Closson that tall, handsome boy when it comes to girls, he's not at all coy. D--is for Dorsey our Johnston fan. To go to K. S. U. are her plans. G--is for Glen our President she is, scholastically and socially she's really a whiz. G--is for Greene the choice of Mr. Trease. If she catches him her running will cease. H--is for Harmon more bounce to the ounce. She's small but determined and that's really what counts. H—is for Harper our lawyer to be with K. U. as his college he's sure to succeed. H--is for Hurd the twin sister of Ladd as a student and friend, she's not bad. H—is for Hurd such an artistic mind when it comes to drawing, none greater could you find. J—is for Johnston such a masculine teen too bad it's just a dream. L--is for Larrick our Homecoming Queen to be an R. N. is her most cherished dream. M—is for McFarlane our boy from the farm when he's around there's no cause for alarm. M—is for McKinley Barbara's her first name Ft. Hays is the first mile of her road to fame. M—is for McNickle who's our great track star. With all his sports ability, he's sure to go far. M--is for Markland who steals the show as a lonely little petunia that we all know. M—is for Matthews our stereo fan to K. U. for an M. D. Degree are his plans. M--is for Messer our blond with a smile she has a personality that's right in style. M—is for Miller the senior class romeo. If Sally's not Juliet, Monte'd better hide Pronteo. 0--Is for O'Bleness we'll remember her trumpeting voice but as the life of the party, she's always our choice. P--is for Preisner our basketball star with tlxis jump in life he's sure to go far. R--is for Rankin as a dancer, he's swell and also in football, for him, we'll yell. R--Is for Ray as a friend she's great with this trait, in college she's bound to rate. R--is for Ritter idleness is his cunning feat, but as a comedian he's hard to beat. S—is for Salyer our drum majorette grand while the band is out marching, she's in command. S—is for Simmons the musician of our class with her clarinet and voice she's quite a lass. S—is for Swayze to modeling school she'll go It won't be long 'til she's rolling in dough. T—is for Trease for Pittsburg he's bound when the girls see him, their heart's will pound. V--is for Vannaman our play's leading man as far as dramatics we're all his fans. W—is for Waugh quite a speedster it's said, when he roars down the street in his truck, Big Red. Y--is for York to be a music teacher is her goal, Southwestern's the college where she'll enroll. And now we must leave you It's not easy to do, We hope you will miss us in the Halls of A. H. S. as we start out to follow the Road to Success. 14
