OUR PURPOSE To build a fellowship of women and girls devoted to the task of realizing in our common lives those ideals of personal and social living to which we are committed by our faith as Christians. In this endeavor we seek to understand Jesus, to share his love for all people, and to grow in the knowledge and love of God. Y-TEEN CABINET FRONT ROW: Louise Hudson, sponsor; Susan Broadie, secretary; Barbara Strouse, cleanup; Karen Bowling, president; Merilyn Berryman, vice-president; Ann McPhail, treasurer. SECOND ROW: Dottie Wilson, music; Kaye Smith, freshman representative; Melba Larrick, worship; Betty O’Bleness, publicity; Rachel York, program; Linda Chambers, social. The Y-Teen girls meet once a week either for a program given by one of the committees, a cabinet meeting, or just recreation. Some of the highlights of the year were the Beatnik and Square Christmas Program, Mother-Daughter Tea, and decorating for United Nations weekend. This year the club was awarded the gold seal certificate. Hi-lj, and Ij-Jeen Develop Chanacten The purpose of the Hi-Y is to create and maintain a high standard of Christian character, clean speech, sports, scholarship and I iving. Hi-Y is a Christian organization that all high school boys have an opportunity to join. It also represents a movement of Y.M.C.A. The Hi-Y, besides having weekly meetings, provided various activities throughout the year such as the picnic in the spring for the men faculty members and their members of Hi-Y.
