Linda Smith Hank Morris . . . .Clarence Bailey Henry Lucas. . . . Larry Haydock THE STORY OF THE PLAY To quote one of them, the Turners are a prolific—and slightly terrific family. Marylou dances, Lucy writes, Benny raises silkworms in his room, Ben runs the hardware store, and Janice—on Broadway for the past two years—bring home Keith Bristol to pen a new play about the terrific Turners. And, oh yes... .there's delightful Uncle Albert who came to Ben's wedding and stayed on for twenty-five years. For years, Ellen has been hoarding her spare change, dropping it coin by coin into her hidden hope jug. And now that she has amassed almost $500 the whole family awaits with eager anticipation the new kitchen which is to be their silver anniversary present. They would have got it too—but for a few unlooked-for complications which upset the entire family. The complications include plagiarism, forty thousand hungry moths, a girl friend for Benny, and Uncle Albert's need for ready cash. But the Turners rise magnificently from the ashes. The Play was given November I, 1957, under the direction of Mrs. Adams. We want to thank Don Crosby for taking the place of Warren Randall at the last minute. FOX GROCERY AND MARKET 8 Troubles at a vacation resort including cases of mistaken identity plague the Alonzo K. Page family. When Mr. Page takes his daughter there to prevent her seeing a poor but honest boy friend. Senion Claaa Poem Listen my children and you shall hear about the Senior of this year In nineteen hundred and fifty-eight Thirty-one senior will graduate. First there's James Allen, a brainy guy When it comes to girls, he's not so shy. Then there's Frantz Betschart. a real tall lad He's usually good but sometime he's bad. Curtis Brown Is our blonde headed boy When he's around there always joy. Heath Callison, Butch for short Mary's the girl he'll always court. Its Darlene Clawson, with the pretty voice She'll make some man a very nice choice. Don Crosby, is our football star We're sure in life he'll go real far. One of our Virginia's. Cunningham that is. When it comes to typing she's really a whiz. Gary Fisher and his car. white and red, can always be found giving trouble to Fred. Vera Fox is now headed for Beauty School To have lots of fun is her Golden Rule. Nina's the gal who got a diamond this year. She'll change Harvey to Patrick, you needn't fear. Gary Haydock, the lad from Sitka town. In his little white Ford-he really gets round. A great public speaker is our David Heath, and we near with the girls he's really a shiek. Frank Hurd is the one with the high I.Q. He's hoping to be a geologist too. Martha Jacobs is our cow girl, of course. She's always happy when riding a horse. For fun and excitement there's always Elaine. We wish her success as she flies in her plane. Quiet and studious is our Leslie gal. But you can count on her to be a good pal. Then comes Judy--more bounce to the ounce, She's small but determined and that really what counts. For President this year we chose Burton Moore. And as an athlete he really ran up the score. Marie Murphy is a gal we're sure will go far. She won the award from the D. A. R. When Sherryl's around we can always cat. her cherry pies are sure hard to beat. Jack Patrick's future really looks bright With Nina by his side he's sure to go right. Our other Virginia. Preisner by name. When she's not around things aren't the same. A talented girl with curly brown hair. When Butch is arqund Mary hasn't a care. Thcron Salyer is a real quiet guy. But the gals would change that if he'd just let them try. Ah--now we have Myma, a cute little brunette. She looks like she's have more than just Ivan in her net. Carole's a happy go lucky and care free lass. She's the artist of the 68 class. SuEllen Thomas from Wichita came She reigned as the queen at our homecoming game. Next is Gary Underwood, who's just the sort that likes hunting and fishing or most any sport. Long we'll remember our Pat as Miss Watts. She made a big hit in the brown cotton socks. Ivan Williams is our Standard Man He'll be the boss as soon as he can Kathryn did a fine job as President of Y -Teen Wherever there's she's bound to be seen. And so you have met them--onc and all No longer our laughter will ring in the hall. Our thanks to the teachers who did their best It's now up to us to do the rest. And though we leave you without much fuss. Wc know we shall miss you and hope you miss us. Through all our history to the last. Don't forget the Seniors of the year just past.
