SHIP OF LEARNING PRINCIPAL H L ELLIS Mr H L Ellis has just successfully completed two years of directing the faculty ot Ashland Senior High School as Principal Mr Ellis states that he enjoys his worlc with us delnnquents but he admits that it requires patience and hard worlq at time Before coming to Ashland Mr Ellis was superintendent at Louisa Ky tor seven years He lett his ottice as superintendent ot schools at Louisa to become attiliated with the Air Service Command at Dayton Ohio He was connected with the vocational schools ot Ashland before coming to the high school ln I943 he came to the high school and since that time has served in the following capacities Head ot the Mathematics Department Faculty Manager ot Athletics Assistant Principal and Principal He became Principal after the re igna tion ot Mr J A Anderson in I945 His undergraduate work was completed at Eastern State Teachers College a Richmond Ky He served overseas in World War I for a year and a halt then he entered Columbia University, where he received his Master ot Arts degree Mr Ellis is to be commended tor his splendid worlc at Ashland Hugh School He has been associated with the Ashland Public Schools tor the past seven years. .
