1 declicatee GEORGE VALENTINE We, the class of 1960, proudly dedicate this year's Guide to a fine person, Mr. George Valentine. Throughout his ten years at Ashland High School, he has stimulated teamwork not only in his coaching but in his classroom. With discrimination, wise iudgment, and cheerfulness, he has extended a helping hand to many students. Win or lose, he gives mature and timely advice to players and the student body alike in a quiet and unassuming manner. Among his many accomplishments, he has been influential in promoting the long awaited dream, an inter-school league. With gratefulness for having had the opportunity to come under the influ- ence of this teacher, coach, and friend, we hereby dedicate this book to Mr. George Valentine.
