Desire for more education in Ashland High School can be shown by the more than one hundred members in this organization. joe Thomas headed the club this year with Lynne Con- way, vice president, while Io Koontz read minutes and Sally Gray handled money matters. The advisor for the club is Miss Franz. At each meeting a representative from a college, business school. or medical training comes to speak to the club and describes outstanding points of the school. Scholarships, catalogues, and contacts can be attained through the College Club. Information on every college in the state and many outside the state can be obtained in the club's files. This year speakers from Baldwin-Xwallace, Kent State, Wittenberg, Denison, and others came to talk to the club. The members of the club decide at the beginning of the year which colleges they would like to hear from most. The club ended their activities with a parent night and a senior farewell. Commanding the stern of their ship were Jolene Wait, 3 year letter returner, and Lynne Conway, with 2 years' experience tucked under her middie. With Olive Smith and Sue Gorsuch being the only new- comers to the all-star ranks, the team members' experience helped them to again take the Army. After the tears are all shed, and the score placed in the record book, the defeated team holds a banquet for the victorious team.
