To one who has been a friend throughout our high school years: to one who is a hard worker and has spent much time in the school's behalf: to one who is considered a favorite by all of his pupils: we, the class of nineteen hundred and fifty are privileged to dedicate this Guide. His curricular and extra-curricular activities have won him the place of favorite friend and favorite teacher in the hearts of A. H. S. students. ' Because of his vibrant personality, diligence in work, understanding, and warm humor we dedi- cate this yearbook to Dwain Murray and wish with all sincerity that his future will be filled with the utmost happiness.

Foreword As we round the bend into the latter half of the twentieth cen- tury, our lights focus upon the crossroads of the future. Our past journey has led us through wars, racial discrimination, and many disasters, but out of these have come social improvements, scientific advancement, and the hope for a brighter, more suc- cessful future. Now that our task is done, the Senior Class pre- sents you with the 1950 Guide and leaves you with a clear track ahead.
